Tom & Roberta take on Spain and Portugal 2015 travel blog

Our agent Nancy booked this trip in which breakfast was included every day. We've never done that before but think now it was a great idea. The food provided was always plentiful and served cafeteria style. All our hotels served the same basics described below but the Hotel in Torrmolinos took it to the next level.

Breads - every imaginable type of bread (wheat, white, sour dough sliced and baguettes ciabatta, you named it, it was there), croissants and pastries of every variety, muffins and more was provided. Toasters were there if you wished and also they had a sort of tomato purée to put on the toast of which I became most fond!

Fruits - pineapple was a biggie here, very sweet and juicy. Kiwi, melons (mostly watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe. Poaches pears, whole apples, grapes, etc.

Beverages - orange, grapefruit, prune were always available. Also available were bottled waters and champagne.

Hot items - eggs, bacon (though always WAY underdone) sausages and baked beans.

Cereals, oatmeal and yogurts of every variety.

Cold platters and spreads - every cured meat Spain has to offer was artfully displayed on multiple dishes as was many types of cheeses. There were many items such as cut tomatoes and corn along with a big bowl of green should you need a salad.

The list goes on and on and I'm not really doing it justice here but we felt the breakfast plan was a real price performer in conjunction with the hotel price.
