What a beautiful morning! We enjoyed delightful worship this morning in Anahuac UMC and had the buffet lunch at Chelsea’s with Jim. After a quick change of clothes, we boarded the FWS truck to go with Jim to take the water samples. However, with just 3 samples taken, the instrument malfunctioned, and we spent the rest of the time birding. The refuge was ALIVE with birds! We think that they must know that it is spring, as we were seeing all kinds of behaviors‼

Arriving back at the campground, part of the group had already gathered at the fire-ring, so we all joined and sat and talked for several hours – it is a really good group.

Dinner was very light – left-over chicken Alfredo and a grilled cheese sandwich.
