Our trip to Red Bay, AL included a couple of overnight stops at local craftsmen for some upgrades and amounted to 304 miles overall. We spent Tuesday night at Custom RV, near Vina, AL so that we would be there bright and early the next morning to have a new satellite dish installed on the roof as well as the new tank sensor system and get an electric lift for our king size bed. Once those were all installed we headed for Chris Berry's between Red Bay and Russellville. Chris worked a little while on the BR TV Wednesday night and came back Thursday morning to finish the BR and front TVs.
After that, we headed for Red Bay and stayed for two nights at the Self-Service RV Park. Since we were not having any work done at the Tiffin service center, staying at this park seemed best. We have a full hookup site with good Verizon and an easy shot to the satellite with our new dish.
Friday morning we headed for Bay Diesel and had our shocks replaced as well as a wheel alignment. That afternoon we headed back out towards Russellville to visit Ricky Johnson's place for a wash and wax on the Mothership. They really do a good job on her for a very good price.
So now we are ready for our trip! Our first destination is to get out of this heat and that means the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It will take us three stops over eight days for us to get there. We leave for the first step - Johnston City, IL - tomorrow for a three night stay.
