What else would you expect to eat in the mountains?

We left La Conner and headed for Mt. Rainer Nat'l Park where our friends Bob & Sara Holmgren have some nice property. We stayed with them for a few days, but no WIFI. It was lovely, wonderful to walk through the trees. Some so massive, it is hard to believe that they have been there hundreds of years.

On the way back home, we stopped for lunch in the historic town of Elbe, Washington. Famous for the Mt. Rainier Railroad that runs from the summer to the first of October. There are some old trains there and they have have become restaurants. Wasn't brave enough to have the game burgers, but had a nice lunch, nonetheless.

We got to our friend, Chris Gildner's house where she was preparing dinner for John and I and my son and daughter-in-law (Kelly & Alex) and her brother Ryan and his girlfriend, Nicole. Had great wine, conversation, and wonderful food. We spent the night at Alex and Kelly's and left the trailer parked in Chris's driveway.

Nothing like good food and good company to make for a great evening.
