Wheelygoode Adventures 2005/6 travel blog

November 16 - COLD! Along with a violent overnight thunderstorm, the temperature dropped 30 degrees F.! We were on the road by 8 am, picked up fuel in Laurel and continued along the 84 across the Mississippi River at Natchez (to digress, the Mississippi at that point was muddy and rather uninteresting, score one point for the motorhome) into Louisiana. Our goal was just outside Kinder, Louisiana where there is a luxury RV park run by the Coushatta Casino. The price is good, and it is indeed a nice park, paved roads and concrete pads and patios - all the services except WiFi which they can't get here (this is the boonies). We didn't get to use the picnic table, though, too cold and windy! We walked (briskly) over to the clubhouse where there was an excellent assortment of all the new RVing magazines, a huge screen TV, free coffee and newspapers. Back at the RV we turned on the TV to find it is likely colder here than at home!

Route today - 84 to 28 to 165 out of Alexandria to Kinder.
