Winnie at Brickyard Plantation Golf Course & RV Park

We're retracing our step from last year's trip, but in the opposite direction. Last year we were headed south to Crystal River to escape some snow that was supposed to hit Americus, and unusual event for this part of the state. Today we drove up US 19 from Perry, FL and stopped outside Americus at the Brickyard Plantation Golf Course & RV Park. It's a nice park that provides free golf with your stay at the RV park. Last year I was able to borrow some clubs from the pro shop to shoot a round on the links course. This year they aren't renting/loaning clubs, so no golf. I was disappointed. I guess I'll have to pack a few clubs and some balls in Winnie for these opportunities to play for little or no cost. Since there was no golf, I went out for some photography to an abandoned house we passed on the way to the RV park. I hadn't noticed the daffodils and jonquils in bloom when we passed the first time. They added some nice color to the foreground of a couple of the pictures. Taking pictures at the house gave me a weird feeling. As I was shooting the front windows, I kept waiting for a face to appear to scare the crap out of me. None did, but it was weird anyway.

We'll be at the Brickyard Plantation 2 days. I need to pick up some prescription at a Rite Aid in Americus. We'll have to see what else is interesting in town since we have a free day tomorrow. Stay tuned.
