Viveros (mussel rafts) at Corme

5 Oct: We sailed/motored south in mist, haze and variable wind. Francis was quite unwell today and unfortunately spent most of it curled up in the cockpit. We got to Corme in the early evening and anchored near some ‘viveros’ (mussel rafts) in deep water (35 nautical miles in just under 7 hours). We didn’t bother going ashore as there is nothing much to see.

Next day we continued south, motoring most of the time because of lack of wind, to Camarinas (20 nautical miles in 3 hours 35 minutes). What a sleepy place! A couple of people we talked to before getting here said how much they liked it, but there didn’t seem to be anything much to recommend it…most of the shops were closed and there were no interesting buildings to visit. However, it was the cheapest marina so far, at only 14 euros for the night including wi-fi!
