Tashi changed our destination. It was originally Tengboche, but he wants us to go to Namche Bazaar. I think the reason is because it's Nepal New Year, and he wants to party. I'm concerned because this is a hard hike, and I'm not feeling so well.

We awoke to another snowy morning. This time the storm was colder and it snow much lower than the last storm. It was beautiful. We hiked out of Pheriche and got to a stupa where a vigorous snowball fight took place. We contoured the hill, dropped back to treeline, dropped down, crossed the river, and had to climb Tengboche ridge. We saw a dog that looked like "Snickers". Then back down the other side of Tengboche ridge to another river crossing where we had lunch.

I ran into Jooles on the way to Tengboche. She was on the Annapurna trek, and started the Everest Base Camp trek a few days after me. She's on her way up. Good luck Jooles!

Then back up the other side, contour around another hill, and finally made it to Namche Bazaar about 5 p.m. A ridiculously long day. Most of the group went out partying after dinner, but 3 of us skipped that. I'm still dragging my butt, and I'm just hoping that dropping in elevation will help the way I feel.
