The next day was Friday and it was cloudy and snowy when we got up - talk about timing. We left a day earlier than planned since we had "done" Monument Valley the night before. We drove to the spot on the highway where Forrest Gump stopped running and on to Twin Rocks trading post which was wonderful. Further on was a section of the San Juan River called the Goosenecks where the river goes through several torturous horseshoe curves - awesome. Finally we continued driving all the way up to Moab, Utah so we could figure out how to see Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. There was a site for us at a commercial RV park north of town with a great view, really good showers, and hideous internet connection, as well as loads of ATV's parked by their RV's.
