Today we went to the Painted Desert area. In it is the Petrified Forest National Park. Even where we are stayng, near Holbrook, there are petrified remnants all over the place! It was very windy, so we didn't even see the entire park! The Blue Mesa area is like a moonscape, with petrified logs and eroded hillsides shining white and dark against each other. The Crystal Forest is beautiful, with colors embedded into the tree trunks. After the tour, we went to an Indian Trading Post, where we bought blankets and jewelry. By the time we got back to the RV Park, it was time for Happy Hour. Tomorrow, we will send out more details about the Puerco Pueblo and Agate Bridge.
