Here we are at Branson, MO. The motor home is parked at Ozark Country Campground which is only about 7-8 minutes from the strip. It is a real nice campground with full hook-ups, free wireless internet, 60 channel cable and a great laundry. It's nice to stay in a campground with all the amenities after two weeks in the COE parks. The sites are larger and nicer in COE parks but we haven't used the motorhome for much more than a place to sleep while in Branson so it has worked out well.
We have been seeing show after show all week. So far we have seen Shoji Tabuchi, The Rankin Brothers, The Presley's, Twelve Irish Singers, 50's at the Hop, The 60's Show, Tony Roi, Freddie Hamilton, Jim Stafford, Yakov Smirnoff, Kirby VanBurch and of course, the Butterfly Palace. Needlesss to say we are ready for a rest!! They were all good but we liked the Yakov show the best. He may have been born in Russia but he is the most patriotic American I have ever met, also the funniest. His show should be required viewing for every citizen in the country. You fully understand just how great this country is after spending just a couple of hours with the man.
We will be leaving tomorrow for Oklahoma City and the Women's World Series. How great is it that the Gators will be in it? Talk about luck - I never imagined we would be in it when I ordered my tickets and made plans to attend. I don't think I have to worry about the men's team getting to Omaha though but it will still be fun to attend.
