Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

The guys, traveling back & forth in the estuary...

View off to my left, I'm on the dock above...

And off to my right as they make another pass...

The Coast Guard is also there making passes...

Ahhh, close enough to see 'the fish'...

Hey guys, I wanna see tooo!

Ooohhh, nice one, can I have just a little of it?

Grandma, Kelly and Lily came to see too!

So glad you enjoyed your day honey...

Back home, Miss Lily is stirring up the filling for the lasagna...

Larry had a terrific time on his fishing trip this morning. He caught the one and only fish of the day, a 22 pound king salmon. The other guys didn't get a bite, so I don't think they enjoyed it quite as much as Dad did. Well, maybe Don did because he really wanted his Dad to catch a 'nice one'. I always say the guy doing the driving doesn't have equal advantage, so we'll just leave it at that! I decided to bow out this morning and let Dad, son and grandson have a special time together. So Don is going to take me out tomorrow, Sunday. Now my biggest concern is to make sure I catch (and land) a bigger one, LOL!

Kelly and I had an enjoyable 'girl' day together. We played with Miss Lily until she just plain tuckered out. After her nap we jumped into the truck and headed for the dock to see grandpa's fish. They drove the boat over to the pier so we could get a closer view. The other folks on the dock were all impressed as well!

After checking out the catch, we headed to the grocery store to pick up taco supplies for this evenings dinner. No, we're not eating the fish today. My mom and brother Larry would be very upset if we didn't freeze and bring some home. We are having dinner with Tom & Lisa tomorrow, so we also picked up the items needed to make lasagna, a peach cake and shish-ka-bobs. And, Kelly is going to make me some potato soup on Monday because she knows I love it.

I spent a couple of hours going over hair style books, as I have decided to try a new doo. Some layering I think. I've been hesitant to do anything different, mostly because I never know who's going to cut it next. I have had some interesting cuts over the past three years while on the road! I'm hoping that if I get it done a bit more often they'll have a basic line to follow, so it says here in fine print that that should do the trick. All I know is that I am tired of the 'stringy' look and my honey hates it when I put it up. So perhaps shorter will be better?? I may try another color as well. What do you all think of red? LOL

I'm off to bed for now. Need to rest up for my day on the estuary. I can't wait!
