Woodland Park in Sauble Beach, ON is a beautiful park. We have a nice paved full-hookup site with an open grass space next to us. Sue is particularly taken with the greenness of the grass that is maintained rigorously. The only negatives are that we have no wifi and it is a half mile from our site to the park entrance.
Sauble Beach is a small tourist/beachcomber town on Lake Huron. They advertise a seven mile long beach. While it is not Clearwater, it does have some sand and draws lots of people. Parking is paid everywhere within three blocks of the length of the beach.
Sue continues to improve and has walked with me or solo on the beach almost every day. I have found the quiet roads in the area to be great for running. Annie finds the park an interesting place to sniff around and is walking a mile or two each day.
There is not much to do nearby and the “restaurants” in Sauble Beach are mostly fast food places. We did find one spot – The Sand Dunes Grill – that has decent food. We will be here for another week. Our only planned outing is a visit to nearby Sauble Falls Provincial Park.
