Beautiful drive on USHwy 34 between Estes Park and Loveland, CO

The road was like this a lot of the way

Wyoming Sunset

We hated to leave the Rocky Mountain National Park but we hit the road in the morning. The drive east on US34 was beautiful. There were mountain streams right by the side of the road for many miles. The road was between rock covered mountains.

We got on I-25 at Loveland, CO and started heading north. It was raining most of the way and when we got into Wyoming there were wind advisories for later in the day. We stopped in the little town of Glendo, Wyoming at a nice RV park. The wind was blowing and we took the opportunity to take a break from sightseeing. The park is next to a cow pasture and after going through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado we finally saw some cowboys herding a stray cow!

Next Stop, Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
