In talking with the Concierge at the front desk, she said on the first of month there's always a test of the tsunami warning system. Sure enough, as we were driving by one of the sirens, the alarm went off at a low volume. I don’t know what other tourists thought but I’m glad we know about it.
Today we decided to visit the beaches and condo we stayed at ten years ago. We were going to spend the day at old beach, but it was too windy to sun tan or eat lunch on the sand. The ocean was so full of whitecaps, it reminded me our Saskatchewan lakes. So we decided to shop and replace our old battered up suitcase with a new model.
Then we made the long drive back to the condo. There's more traffic than 10 years ago and a lot of our driving time was spent idling in traffic.
