Voyage of the Wayward Wind - 2009 travel blog

Sunday Jun 7 to Thursday Jun 18, 2009

As I ended my last journal entry, let me begin again ... “Have I mentioned that it is hot, humid, and rains a lot???” It certainly bears repeating!! We spent the past 11 days in Greenbelt National Park because it is where we needed to be to see Matt, for doctors appointments, business meetings, visiting friends, etc. The park is very nice, BUT it has NO water, electric or sewer. That meant eating most meals out which gets expensive and being very uncomfortable when in the RV (mostly due to the humidity). So, with the bulk of our needs requiring us to be close to Silver Spring behind us, we moved today to Patapsco State Park near Ellicott City, MD. Here we have electricity and a nice bathhouse next to us, so with a bit of conservation, we should get through the next 2 weeks well.

With 7 appointments down and only 3 to go, the medical profession seems to think I’ll live a bit longer. Drew has made a sizeable dent in his business matters and much of the rest can be dealt with when he takes me for my remaining doctor appointments. We have been able to get together with most everyone we were hoping to see. Now, if it would just stop raining ...
