We managed to get a spot at the FamCamp (they don't allow reservations) and it is very handy to most things in Oklahoma City and you can't find a much safer place to camp! We have a great view out the winodw of our motorhome
. We have full hookups but no WiFi, so I am forced to use my Verizon connection which is very slow on the base. I do have access to WiFi at the library so I will probably do all of the uploading of pictures near the end of our stay from the library.
Wednesday, May 28 - We made the trip down to Purcell, about 30 miles South of OKC, to see my favorite Aunt, Eulene, whom I hadn't seen since my father died nine years ago. It was really great to see her and my Cousin, Jeanne, and her family. We plan to take another trip down for a longer visit before we leave next Friday, June 6.
Friday, May 30 - We went to the first day of softball games yesterday - sadly, the Gators lost and must now work themselves out of the loser's bracket. The winners bracket plays their two games tonight starting at 6:00 p.m. so we are just relaxing today, trying to recover from the last week. The Gators play again tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. so it will be a full day at the park again tomorrow. The weather is HOT, in the 90s with about 20 MPH winds. We have good seats but they are just outside the roof cover so we are in full sun. We used a lot of sunblock yesterday or we would really be burned now. The rest of the Series is expected to have the same weather. Thank goodness Saturday and Sunday are the last day games.
Saturday, May 31 - We spent the day at the ballpark and got to see the Gators stay alive by sending Virginia Tech and UCLA home. We now have to beat Texas A&M twice tomorrow to get into the Championship series that starts Monday night. It was 95 degrees under a hot sun almost all day so we are pretty well exhausted and will sleep extremely well tonight!
