We had a visit from the Davis Community Code Enforcement Officer yesterday morning. She told us that we could not have our camper sticking out onto the sidewalk. Everything else was okay; we could be in the driveway, we could have our blue wagon attached, but we could not be sticking out onto the sidewalk. Well, I guess it's my fault for buying a camper that's too long!!! Soooo, we're gonna have to move out of Davis. We tried to negotiate a stay for a couple more days, but it might get Kate into trouble.
We took one more trip in to go rock climbing. We saw Vaughn and Kristen and said partial goodbyes since we weren't sure which day we'd be leaving. We can't thank Kristen and Vaugh enough for such a terrific time in Sacramento. We just wish it could have lasted longer. Kristen is so busy with school and Vaughn is doing such a great job at Pipeworks. It was great to be a part of their lives for the time we were there.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 7 2007
So yesterday was "Technical Difficulties Day" as Soleil called it. We got the visit from the Code Enforcement Officer, probably took our last visit to Vaughn and Kristen and then ran out of propane right after I finished cooking dinner. The rice was not quite done, but done enough. That also means we had no heat overnight, but the Universe was on our side because it was only about 55 degrees overnight. Not a cold night at all. Today is sunny after a horribly rainy day yesterday and so it seems like the Universe speaks to me once again to say... this is what you should do...
We had to undo some plans we had made in Davis, but we are headed to Livermore CA!
We are so bummed that we have no pictures of Davis or Kate... just know that it is a very pretty town and Kate is a most gorgeous woman with a heart as big as California!
