Rolling plains

That is cattle on the right

We had a great time at the concert but now a 5 hour drive to Oklahoma City. Not sure what the hawk population is in Kansas but we lost count of the ones we saw sitting in trees, on fences and even on road signs. They were beautiful birds.

As we got closer to the Oklahoma stateline, the topography changed dramatically to open rolling plains with no trees in sight. We could just imagine the covered wagons loaded with families or the large cattle drives traveling on these wide open plains. We wanted to saddle up! I think Janice just wanted to go look for Rowdy Yates 𯘄. Anyway, made it to OK City. Will post more on that later. Thanks for following us!
