We're taking a year off to travel! travel blog

After coffee and breakfast, we said our goodbyes, with Larry and Grace going north for a family get together and us going east a bit south towards Bartlesville. This is the town where I grew up, the home of Phillips Petroleum Company, and the site of my 50th high school reunion. We did stop in Goddard to have lunch with Michael. And I did have to spring for it. But it was a good visit and we are looking forward to seeing him again after the reunion.

About 65 miles from B'ville, and just before we turned south, we were stopped by the highway patrol. You might want to put air in your back right tire on the RV he said, as it is about halfway flat. By the time we got out of the truck it was all the way flat, so we had our first flat tire of the trip. Don has gotten pretty good at changing tires by the side of the road, so it was not long before we were on our way. We checked in to the RV park with a sigh of relief, and settled in for 5 o'clock somewhere.
