we took a quick tour of Hidden Springs campground before leaving

continuing north on the Avenue of the Giants

Today we drove north to the Smith River, stopping on the way at the famous old Samoa Cookhouse in Eureka for a good family style lunch.

Past Crescent City, Jedediah Smith State Park was full by the time we got there so we continued on to the little town of Hiouchi and found a nice private campground.
