The Queen's Rose Garden

Regents Park

Roses,

roses,

and more roses!!

A cutie!

A nap!

A sleepy lion

A sleepy, soon to be sun-burned, Brit!

We had to check out by noon, so after breakfast we packed up and stored our luggage. Unfortunately, we packed the camera :-( . Considering our jet lag, we are lucky that was our only issue. We did get pictures with our phones. We headed out, past Madame Tussauds (will save the indoor attractions for a rainy day), to Regents Park and Queen Mary's Rose Garden. The temperature was about 70, sunny with a slight breeze. The weatherman said to go out and enjoy the day as the rain was coming. The gardens and park were spectacular. Lots of people out jogging, playing soccer, sunning, etc. Holy William and Kate!! The sun brought out quite a few scantily clad, glowing white British (see Picture). There will be some very sun burnt people here tomorrow! The London Zoo which is part of the park was our next stop. We hadn't been to a zoo in years and it was fun. We walked for hours, enjoying the park and the weather. The next stop was a late lunch at, that's right, a pub! They were serving "Badger" beer, an English bitter. Jim had a couple in honor of our Wisconsin friends! Then we retrieved our luggage and it was off to Heathrow. Apparently there is no free wifi anywhere around here, including the airports! Our British Airways flight was very nice, way better than US Airways. Another overnight flight...
