|Slept in! What luxury! After breakfast it was back to the pool. I am starting to get used to this. Later on we went for a walk along the beach. It was low tide and the water goes out a long way out in the bay. Much of the beach is taken up by deck chairs and umbrellas. These are available for hire for about 30 baht (just over a dollar) and seem to be mainly used by some (very white) Europeans.
The deck chair hire scheme is used a lot in Europe but for an aussie it just seems a bit odd and we are quite happy to sit on the sand, what rebels..
The biggest beachside industries are parasailing and jetskis and there are heaps of both continuously doing circuits. Between these are other boats doing trips out to the islands. Does not really make for a quiet day at the beach and how they do not have accidents I don't know.
Anyhow the rest of the day was made up of late lunch, more relaxing by the pool, late dinner, visiting one of the bars and back to the hotel.
