Breakfast buffets were included each morning at the Welk Resort. So after breakfast, we loaded onto the bus and headed to Branson Landing, Branson's newest shopping experience. The weather was overcast, windy, and very chilly. The Pro Bass Shop was the anchor store in the shopping center, so everyone was just about "required" to visit.
After our morning shopping, we had reservations at the Uptown Cafe. They had the most wonderful cheeseburgers we'd had in ages. After the ice cream sundaes for dessert, we made our way on over the most anticipated show in Branson, the Shoji Tabuchi show!
Shoji didn't disappoint. He is a wonderful entertainer, and the bathrooms are a "must-see" themselves. The ladies room is appointed in gold fixtures and fresh flowers; the mens room includes a full size pool table!
Dinner tonight was at McFarlains Restaurant at the Imax Theatre. There were several menu choices served family style. Afterwards, we were off to the Pierce Arrow Show. This was the only show that no one was really familiar with, and it turned out to be one of the best. Pierce Arrow is a five-man singing group, doing patriotic and gospel songs as well as standards. There were several guest singers, but the highlight was the comedian. He had us all rolling in the isles. Boyd met him prior to the show in the lobby. He was just walking around talking to folks before the show started.
As we headed back to the hotel, we were all talking about what a great day it had been!
