2008 Midwest USA travel blog

Well, we arrived here Wednesday without incident and setup was quick and easy. We have full-hookups, free wireless and DirecTV was a snap - I just set the dish up aimed where I thought the satellite would be and miraculously when I turned it all on, we were locked on - no adjustments necessary! The campgound is nice but is mostly used by seasonal people staying for months at a time. It's about three miles south of Fayetteville and there isn't any retail very close which isn't a problem. The regional airport is about a mile away so we occasionally get noise from there but not bad.

We don't plan on doing much here but camping and staying around the campsite. Not much to see here but military museums and I'm not into much of that since I lived it!

It's now Saturday night and as I said earlier, we did absolutely nothing while here but relax and enjoy ourselves. Tomorrow we head for Savannah for six days. We have already scheduled a couple of tours so I will fill you in on those at the end of next week.
