Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

I need to write a few words about the Gulf Coast RV Resort where we stayed the past two days.

They have concrete pads for the RV to sit on but it is just wide enough for the RV and the grassy area is little more than a swamp.

It was still dark this morning when we were getting ready to leave and I had to be very careful where I stepped because several times my foot just sank right down into the water and mud.

It was 7:15 when we pulled out of the RV Park and headed the short distance to the Interstate Highway.

We stopped at Victoria, Texas for fuel and then spent the next four hours driving down the highway to our winter home at Llano Grande Resort.

We parked at the registration parking area but the office was closed. We went ahead and unhooked the car, then Marilyn followed me to our site, the same one we had two years ago.

Berni walked over to greet us and Tom waved a hello, as did Pete. Later, our neighbor Ruth walked over to visit for a few minutes.

The new folks across the street said hello also. It is a nice group of friends here already.

We were invited to join them for Happy Hour but now that we are here, after a long day of travel with a cold, it is time to rest!

Maybe tomorrow but for today we are resting and going to bed early.

So I am going to wrap this up for now. We are Home!

Life is Good!
