LamandEgg on Walkabout! travel blog

We decided in the end that we wanted the flexibility of going wherever we wanted and doing whatever we wanted when we wanted. So we opted to rent a car and drive ourselves up to Cape Trib. When we got to the car rental office this morning, we found that they could not honour our booking. Their office was broken into last night and their safe was stolen. In it were all the keys to their cars. Yikes! So while they were sorting out their nightmare, we managed to find ourselves another rental agency.

After all of that, we still managed to head out of town at the time we had originally planned. Yay!!! Off we went, heading north up the coast to Cape Trib. We took a small car ferry across the Daintree River, and drove down a super windy road, stopping at Mossman Gorge before arriving at our hostel (The Cape Trib Beach House), which was located less than 100m from a white sand beach!!
