Our trip from Montesano to Auburn, WA was a 86 mile journey over four lane road, about half of it Interstate 5. With the exception of about five miles of bad congestion through a large construction zone, the driving was pretty easy.
We are staying at the Game Farm Wilderness Park Campground
which is a very well run city park. We have a very large site with 30 amps of electricity, water and a dump on the way out. We get very good Verizon but the trees are too dense and in the wrong place to get the satellite from the roof or portable dish. We are able to get a couple of networks on our over-the-air antenna which will have to suffice for a few days.
While here we had a wonderful meal and get together at my Aunt Wanda's place. Her brother Everett, my uncle, was able to also visit with his new wife and we really enjoyed reminiscing old times 30-40 years ago. Wanda is a great cook, a lot like her sister - my mother, with a million, well maybe just a half-million, cookbooks that she probably has memorized.
Tomorrow, we head across the Cascades to a small state park on the Columbia River in east Washington for a one-night stay.
