Maria Therea's Palace

The Opera House

From the Opera house we walked up the walking street. We passed several wedding parties – the crazy stuff done to bride and groom the night before. Two groups of women all wearing black. One of men in t-shirts and the groom to be in a diaper… Changes the last of the Czech money into Euros and hope they’ll take them in Hungary tomorrow!

Near St. Stephen’s we passes a large rally in support of the people of Gaza. Probably 100 – 125 protesters and twice that many onlookers. Flags and speeches. I wanted to watch a bit but Alice was a little put off so we walked by and I tried to explain what was going on. How do you explain 50+ years of history in three minutes?

Anyway, some ice cream, a tram ride, and back to the hotel. Train tomorrow at 10:05 so a fairly early morning. It was a good day but Salzburg was a bit of a disappointment.
