Monday

This was competitive day as we had to be at the Arches National Park Visitor's Center well before 7:30AM to be in line for what turned out to be 10 available campsites in the park campground. We were #3, and their system is wonderful. You make sure you get to the campground by noon and there will be a site available - maybe not the best one though - so we went right up, placed our ticket on the one we wanted and left to go for a hike to Delicate Arch where we ate breakfast before hiking. Checkout time at the campground is 10:00AM, so we could move in by then or anytime. We had lunch up there - a great pull-through site with an amazing view. Another hike to Devil's Garden and Landscape Arch was enough for the afternoon. We got wonderfully relaxed back at the campsite, and had another great sunset and evening.
