This was to be our free day. We got up late and just puttered in the trailer. Later wagon masters that we had in Australia and New Zealand showed up in the park. Also here were the wagon masters we had at the Rose Parade. They invited us to go with them on a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. We left at 7 PM. A ferry leaves our campground and took us to Manhattan. From there we had a 20 minute stroll to the Staten Island Ferry. When we got there they stopped loading when we got to the gate. So we caught the next ferry, 30 minutes later. The ferry ride was fun and it gave us great night views of the city and it goes right in front of the Statue of Liberty. Susan's camera just wouldn't take good pictures. I have included the only one that was not blurred. At the end of the ride we got off the ferry and walked to the loading area to get back on the same ferry back. Trouble was, for some reason the ferry left without taking on passengers. So we waited 30 minutes for the next ferry. But that would only leave us 10 minutes to walk from this ferry to the other ferry that goes to the campground. So we took the ferry and when we got off, we had 13 minutes to get to the next one. Susan sucked it up and walked quickly. We made it to the ferry with 2 minutes to spare. Then we arrive home at 10 PM. Man were we lucky.
