Trekking with Daisy 2009-10 travel blog

Today the English- and Spanish-speaking congregations at church combined for a Thanksgiving celebration and communion. The songs were displayed on the screen with both languages but I found myself reading the Spanish and was pleased to discover that I knew almost all the Spanish words. A combined youth choir sang two songs and the two pastors did the sermon together. People in the congregation were given an opportunity to tell what they are thankful for and a large number of them participated. After the service we all had a Thanksgiving luncheon together. Tables were set up everywhere! Of course, the food was delicious. I enjoyed the entire celebration.

It has been mostly cloudy, cool and pleasant all day but I don't believe there was any rain.
