Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We were awakened by the sound of thunder at 3:00 this morning.

The bedroom window beside Marilyn’s head was open but there was no rain yet so we enjoyed the distant thunder.

Then a gentle pitter patter of raindrops on the roof. Still, we left the window open.

The sound of thunder grew closer and then the rain began in earnest.

We closed the window!

By the time we got up to have coffee, the rain had stopped and it didn’t take long to get ready to go.

We pulled in at Wheels RV about 10 minutes before 9:00 AM, when they officially open.

After some brief conversation, I drove around and backed the RV into a space behind the shop.

They were working on things right away and we hoped to be finished by evening.

There is a forecast for severe storms all along our route tomorrow so at this point we aren’t sure that our travel plans will hold.

The kind folks at Wheels RV gave me an office and the password to their internet, so I was able to post yesterday’s blog.

Marilyn spent her Maintenance Day in the comfort of her little car. With the seat tilted all the way back and her Kindle, she was as happy as a clam.

So, while we wait for the repairs to be completed, we are anxious to arrive back in Hannibal, but we are keeping an eye on the weather. We don’t want to take any chances.

We’ll be hugging those grandkids soon.

Life is Good!
