On The Road (Natural Falls State Park)

|On The Road (Natural Falls State Park, OK)
This is Day 8 of our journey from Gold Canyon, AZ to Hannibal, MO.
We only moved about 185 miles or so, from Oklahoma City, through Tulsa, to Natural Falls State Park, which is only about 25 miles from Wheels RV where we’ll have some work done on our RV tomorrow.
After checking in, we drove to our assigned Site (#45) and discovered it occupied by another RV.
I pulled into Site #23 which was vacant, and we drove the car back to the office where they changed our assigned Site to number 23.
This is a nice level Site, about 100 feet long, surrounded by trees.
Very quiet and peaceful, this place makes us wish we were staying for a week or so.
Oh, I have to mention this because Marilyn reminds me at each destination, of the mpg her little car gets in comparison to my diesel truck.
Car (She calls it Casper) 47.3 mpg
Truck (I call it a Workhorse) 9.9 mpg
Now if that little car would only pull this 18,000# RV around the country!
After some lunch we walked the trail to the waterfalls and my trusty photographer took some pictures to share with you.
As we walked toward the base of the falls, I mentioned to Marilyn that it was all downhill. She laughed and reminded me that it was all uphill on the way back to the RV.
She sat outdoors reading her book this afternoon, while I sat indoors beside an open window, inspecting the inside of my eyelids for light leaks.
I did take time to run the TV antenna up and discovered that we can get about 20 channels, so we can watch “Amazing Race” tonight. Oops! The CMA Awards have pre-empted Amazing Race.
No matter! TV is not high on our agenda.
So, eight days down and three to go. That should find us settled in at the Mark Twain Cave Campground in Hannibal, MO.
We’ll be hugging those grandkids in a few days!
Life is Good!
