This afternoon the weather was very nice, so it was a good time to do some “honey do” jobs on my list. Brad aired up all my RV tires, added insulation to my water hose and helped me install my outside windshield cover. I used to be able to do all these types of jobs myself before my back surgery. I tell you, these CARE volunteers are worth their weight in gold!!
The biggest job was airing up the tires, of course. I have an air compressor, which I’d never used, so there were some details that we had to learn. It needed to be plugged into a 12-volt outlet, so we had to start my car’s engine so the cigar lighter would work without running down the battery. What surprised me was that the tires hadn’t lost very much air since I arrived at CARE (about 1.75 years ago). I want to keep everything in good order in case we have to evacuate during an emergency.
