Our trip from Red Bay, AL to West Memphis, AR was a leisurely 162 miles, almost all of it on I-22 until we got just south of Memphis where we hopped on I-55 until our exit just across the Mississippi River. Again not many photos of the trip as it was all boring interstate!
We are staying at the Tom Sawyer RV Park
right on the shores of the Mississippi River. It is a very nice park although this current stay has been very windy and not conducive to really enjoying the stop. We have a very long pull-through with 50 amp full hookups. The sites are arranged and angled so that you have more privacy than the normal set up as the rig to your left is about 30 feet in front of you and you are the same for the rig on your right. The river is right in front of us and we have seen many, many barges on their trip up and down the river. Many of them are very large with a variety of loads.
Tomorrow, we head a couple hundred miles west to Russellville, AR for a two-night stay. We prefer to always stay two nights as traveling every day tends to make Doris' neck problems flare up.
