|(Note: Although the map says Albany, we are really in Scio Oregon, the other side of I-5.) Scio is too small of a town to be found on this map. Today we had a nice dinner for the family as we pack up and get ready to leave on Monday. My brother Jack's family came out, as did my son Chris's family, at least Daugher in law, Belinda and grandkids. Unfortunately Chris had to have training that day, but glad he is out there saving lives! Our son Jesse came down from Seattle with my other "son" Justin. It was also my nephew's birthday celebration. Mike cooked a pork shoulder in his new smoker. Jack made homemade buns for it. It was great. A wild game of Pirate Dice with Dad which is always a treat. He proved he is a true pirate by his "playing" style. We are not sure how he won after he lost either but it worked for him!
We did a little bit of geocaching with Jesse and Justin, especially to some that I had not been able to find, and needed a little help from some young eyes. They sure showed me. I got schooled. We are having a little friendly geocaching challenge throughout the year so we will see who wins in the end. I think I better step up my game, and just keep trying to stay ahead! There was also some Frisbees flying around the yard, no time for Frisbee golf this weekend though.
It was a lot of fun and we were glad we could all be together.
