Simply Beautiful... thank you Karuna

Renee, Karuna and Kristen

Wednesday November 21, 2007

We arrived to Sacramento yesterday afternoon. It was a really, really, really long drive. The scenery was just beautiful, though. We drove from mountains with lots of pine trees to a more arid climate to finally the city of Sacramento. We managed to find the Cal Expo RV Park and checked in with Kristen by phone all the way. We cleaned the camper like crazy people. I vacuumed, mopped and did the dishes. Aisha cleaned her space and around the camper and Soleil actually cleaned out her "drawers of stuff!" Kristen arrived after she finished her workout and invited us out for dinner since we had not managed to eat dinner before she arrived. She was hungry too and so it was a plan. Talk was easy, fun, checking in, catching up, and we thoroughly enjoyed each other's conversation. Kristen confessed that when heard about this trip she did not think I could manage it all. She was surprised to hear of our many adventures. She seemed to be more relaxed and at ease after talking with us and hearing our stories. The kids will be OKAY after all! I'm grateful that she cares enough to worry about us and that she shared her initial concern and commended us all for doing this.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanks to Kristen and her friend Karuna, we enjoyed a delicious and very fun Thanksgiving in Sacramento. Karuna went out of her way to make it so beautiful for everyone! We truly enjoyed getting to chat with Karuna and her husband Kent. Aisha, Kent and Vaughn (Kristen's honey) talked "Survivor" stories for a bit, Soleil got to create some art with Karuna's art box and we all enjoyed hanging out with Kristen and her awesome friends.
