Today's drive was so beautiful that when we arrived at our campground, we unhitched the trailer and repeated some of the route again. We drove up the eastern side of the Baha along the Sea of Cortez and passed one beautiful beach and scenic overlook after another. Although there are no official campgrounds here, many people are boondocking or dry camping, which means no water hook ups or electric outlets. As you can see from the photo above, the location is worth doing without.
Truly we did not do without much. Our camping area has a restaurant where we enjoyed a spaghetti dinner after we had the afternoon to do as we wished. I floated on an air mattress and the more energetic dug buckets of clams out of the shallow waters assisted by neighborhood dogs. We are adding this spot to our lengthening list of places to go back to. It will be hard to tear ourselves away from this wonderful spot in the morning, but who know what the next curve in the road will bring.
