With fond memories stored in our "memory bank", we left San Antonio yesterday morning. It was 8:20 AM when we left the Admiralty RV Resort and headed for I-410. We were in our new back yard around 1:30 PM. It was a smooth journey with excellent roads until we reached Harlingen. Hwy 83 has been under construction for many years according to the long-time residents, and that is still the case. However we had to travel only 12 miles or so on the "bad" road. This is an absolutely gorgeous place. We are now parked at the Llano Grande Lake RV Resort. We have a large site with a concrete pad, a nice green grassy yard, a palm tree in front and a grapefruit tree in back right beside our living room window. We picked 3 grapefruit yesterday evening, for breakfast this morning. The people are so friendly. We have met so many people already that I cannot remember their names. People from Missouri are across the street, Canada is next door, and Michigan in back of us. Last night the park had a dinner for $5 per person. It was Brats on a bun, sauerkraut, potato salad, baked beans, dessert, and a choice of 2 beers or 2 Pepsi's.

We awoke this morning to the sunshine streaming in the window. I looked at the thermometer when I got up and it said 70. Now it reads 90 but it is in the sun so I know it isn't accurate. I'll have to move it to the shady side to get an accurate reading. Marilyn's hitch-itch has gone away and she is excited about everything. She can't wait to get started with all of the activities. We have decided that we need our bicycles and our golf clubs. May have to make a trip through Wichita soon. We can play golf for $8 or $18 with a cart. Yes, that is for 18 holes! We haven't seen the course yet but it looks nice on the internet. I will post pictures later today so check back if you don't see them when you read this. Right now it is coffee time. The rest will have to wait....
