A guy whom I know from running said that his philosophy is that for every race that he runs he volunteers for one. That sounds great to me, but we are very much in the minus on this field. So I offered to this 1/2 ironman triathlon (1.2 miles swim, 56 miles bike, 13.1 miles run) that we would help. The same organizor puts up in May our favorite half marathon (Big Lake Half), and he certainly deserves both kudos and help.

He is so well organized, though, that we hardly had anything to do. The biggest thing for me to do was to hold on to an athlete's leg while he was swimming and give it back to him as soon as he exited the water. The guy was in great shape and spirit, regardless that he was missing his left leg under his knee. Meanwhile Michelle helped to set some stand up.

It was a lot of fun to see people compete or complete this 1/2. It is an incredible amount of work and giant yayyys to all of them.
