After breakfast, we picked up Bill and Diana for the Cranberry Festival Parade, which was a lot of fun. Since it was cool and cloudy, we decided today would be a good day to pack, so we spent about an hour getting everything arranged in the basement – it is ready for travel. John also aired the tires all around. I cleaned the outside rocks and packed all of our rocks in a plastic coffee can, so packing inside will now be a snap.
It was still cloudy at noon, so we made the Wal-mart run – crashed when we got back. I’m trying to read the books that are borrowed before we leave. Bill B. came to visit and invited us to dinner at his and Pam’s house on Tuesday evening. We had a great visit – Bill is so interesting with all of his National Park background.
For dinner we prepared old-fashioned fried chicken outdoors on the cook stove in the cast iron chicken skillet – what a treat! Of course there had to be chicken gravy with our pecan rice and buttered peas. We walked all of the loops with Bill and Diana afterwards – we needed it.
