Wanderings and Side Trips travel blog

This morning is nice. Sun is out and we had a little shower last night. We had our WH presentation yesterday morning. Great program - way too much money!

We explored a little in the afternoon - visited the Zane Grey RV Park 12 miles east of Camp Verde. Very nice park, but again, way too much money. It is $32 per night plus electric. Found the PO, mailed some bills.

We had noticed a green motorhome with a green VW with Alaska plates as we drove in and out and wondered if it was Lori, from the class of 05, who was also at Q last January. We stopped and knocked on the door and no one was home, so we left one of our cards. Almost before we got home, she called. It was Lori! We called Paula and Charlie and they came over and we had a little '05 rally. It was good to see her and share her experiences. She is on her way to Show Low.

We had a BBQ at Paula and Charlie's and called it a night. It has been great spending a few days with some of our class members.

We are headed to the Grand Canyon by way of Flagstaff today. Weather reports show it cold in Williams. Hope it warms up some.

Today is our youngest daughter's birthday. 37 years ago today, she arrived. Life has not been the same since. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SUNNY!!
