After exercise class this morning I went back to Tuesday Morning to return the food processor. I hadn’t been able to find the owner’s manual. It really wasn’t what I want anyway. They had some that would have worked for me but they were too large for my very small kitchen counter space. Oh, well, it wasn’t a real need to begin with.
To kill some time before my rehab visit, I ate lunch at the Planet Sub shop next door to Tuesday Morning. I had a veggie wrap, which was quite good. I still had some time, so I stopped at the Baubles and Beads shop; but I didn’t find anything that called out to me. I was very early for my appointment with the physical therapist but didn’t mind waiting. I read the latest edition of “National Wildlife” magazine.
The PT asked me a lot of questions about how I feel in certain circumstances. Then he tested my back, legs, balance and reflexes. He said that I am “young” compared to many others my age. That’s a good sign. He told me to ride the recumbent bike at the gym for thirty minutes three times a week, after my Silver Sneakers classes. He also said that I should discontinue my chiropractic treatments for my back until at least six months after my surgery. He warned me to not have unreasonable expectations because it will take some time for everything to settle down after the surgery.
