Quince (A Great Place to Eat)

We began our day pretty early. We were driving to Sedona and on to Jerome. Our friends Trent & Teresa were excited about seeing these places for the first time.

They loved the Grand Canyon but our fun wasn’t over yet.

As we loaded our luggage into the car around 6:30, we noticed that the weather was nicer than we had experienced the past two days at the Grand Canyon. We looked forward to 70 degree temperatures which were forecast for Sedona.

However, it began to rain shortly after we left, driving south toward Williams, Arizona.

The rain was light but the temperatures remained considerably lower than the forecast and the skies remained a solid gray overcast.

We stopped for breakfast on the way to Sedona, at Junipine Resort in Oak Creek Canyon. We have stopped here before and the food was quite good so it was our choice to stop here again.

The food was good as expected but the temperature in the dining room was nearly as low as the temperature outdoors.

Teresa and I walked back to the car to retrieve jackets which helped us to be a bit more comfortable while we ate our meal.

The rain and cool temps continued as we explored the Chapel in the Rock and then Tlaquepaque in Sedona.

We all enjoyed ourselves in spite of the weather and made one final stop before leaving Sedona. This one was for the gals, Marilyn and Teresa.

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was the place to replenish their supply of chocolate covered coffee beans.

Next on our agenda was the quaint mining town of Jerome.

Marilyn & I had been here many years ago and were anxious to see how the town had changed.

Again, in spite of the nasty weather, we walked around the town, stopping at several shops to look at the art work.

It was around 2:00 in the afternoon when we decided to find a place to get a bite to eat.

We really lucked out this time, stopping in at a place called “Quince”. They serve primarily Mexican Food.

What an amazing place to eat! The food and service were all excellent! By using that word, I really mean that the food and service simply could not have been better.

Because the four of us had decided to just order an appetizer, we looked the menu over carefully.

We finally decided that each couple could just share an appetizer.

Trent & Teresa ordered the Nacho appetizer to share, while Marilyn & I opted for the Quesadilla appetizer and two plates.

Awesome! Either appetizer would have been enough for the four of us. Plus, they were absolutely delicious! Marilyn exclaimed that it was the best Mexican food she has ever had.

So, dear readers, if you are ever in Jerome, Arizona, I suggest you search out the “Quince” and enjoy some fine Mexican food.

It is located at 363 Main Street and the phone number is 928-634-7087.

It was right at 6:00 PM by the time we reached our little rolling home and unloaded the car.

It was a fine road trip with two wonderful friends.

Now I had better get busy and post pictures for all three days.

Life is Good!
