This morning I called the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to make an appointment with one of the Benefits Counselors. I had to leave a message for Ms. Coyle. I hope she will call back soon to set up an appointment. I’ve decided that this may be my best chance to get my shoulder injury claim settled. My file folder is nearly two inches thick with papers I’ve amassed since the injury of June 15, 2004 – yes, over five and a half years ago. I am totally frustrated with this situation.
The rest of the morning was a little more pleasant. I went to the Senior Center to access the Internet so I could get caught up on my trip journal and e-mails. Virginia met me there for lunch. We met some more people, who were interesting conversationalists. At 1:00 o’clock, the beginning line dancing class began. Virginia decided to join in but I just couldn’t drum up any interest in it. I watched them for a few minutes and then left them to their devices.
My next pleasant activity was going to Central Market to stock up on some of their prepared foods. I don’t mind shopping there because they have so many good choices. I usually buy one or two things that are new to my taste buds. My little refrigerator is now stuffed to the gills so I’m prepared for the extreme weather that’s on the way.
