The Sherbrooke Village Restoration Area was established in 1969 to show what life was like in the 1800’s when lumber was king along the St Mary’s River. In 1861 gold was discovered and for 20 yrs it was a boom town. After that it went back to fishing and lumber town and continued until present. I hope you enjoy the photos of life as it was. The old phones still work.
