We had a great day at the Italian Festival in Reno today...

They had everything you can think of Italian and much more..

Lots of food to choose from..

Live entertainment with beautiful Italian songs..

Hundreds of booths with Italian sauces to try from all over Italy..

The booths filled several streets and went on and on...

Some had muffin pans filled with pasta to try all the sauces..

It was a cool festival...

Last one!

We had a great day in Reno at the Italian Festival. For 35 years, the Eldorado Hotel has brought the sights, sounds, and flavors of Italy to downtown Reno. The outdoor festival, held annually over Columbus Day weekend, is a celebration of Italian culture and tradition. Downtown Reno is transformed into Little Italy with a grape stomp, sauce cookers competition, wine walk, an Italian farmer’s market, kids’ gelato eating contest, Italian Buffet and incredible, free, live entertainment and vendors.

No Italian Festival would be complete without plenty of homemade Italian food. A crowd favorite year after year continues to be the Great Italian Festival Sauce Cook-off. Italian families from across the West Coast bring their recipes to life in front of admiring and hungry spectators.

We enjoyed shopping at all the booths, we watched people with huge muffin pans filled with pasta trying all the sauces from all over Italy. We loved hearing all the Italian songs and music as we shopped and walked. It was another great day in Reno, check back later for more.
