Brrr! The wintry blast has arrived with strong winds. I’ve been staying indoors today.

This afternoon I finished reading John Ehle’s book, “Trail of Tears – The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation.” He searched through hundreds of documents, official reports and other contemporary sources in order to provide a good historical account. He is a sixth-generation North Carolinian who grew up on land once used as hunting grounds by the Cherokee.
