Wanderings and Side Trips travel blog

Today is Wes' 62nd birthday! YEAH!! Now he can get his "geezer" card and he can start receiving his social security. Life will be a little easier on the pocketbook from now on. We didn't do much. We will celebrate with our family on the Thanksgiving weekend.

We voted, and also got our free (to seniors) flu shots. Wes has been having some problems with his little finger that was amputated, so he made a doctors appointment for Wednesday.

I turned in my resignation to the Colorado East Bank and Trust board of directors, effective at the annual meeting in January. I have really enjoyed my time on this board. It has been quite an education and a good experience, but we need to be free of our many obligations, so we can stay out on the road for longer periods of time. Now I just have one left - the Community Developement Board. My term there is up in June, 2007. I will not be around from December through April, so we will see if they want me to resign or just be absent for those months.

I took Wes to lunch for his birthday and gave him a card and gift certificate for something for the RV. He can choose a Wilson trucker antenna or vent covers. Everything now revolves around what we need for the RV. It will take him forever to make up his mind, so I may just get him one or the other on my own.

A good day and it's good to be home.
